AI Lead

Are you passionate about driving digital transformation and unlocking business value through AI and automation? Semco Maritime is looking for an experienced AI Lead to play a central role in shaping and accelerating our AI journey across the organisation.

Your position

As AI Lead, you will sit at the centre of Semco Maritime's digital journey, working across functions and leadership levels. You will define and drive the company's AI and automation direction together with business leaders, translating strategic ambitions into practical solutions that create measurable value.

You will connect strategy to execution by improving end-to-end processes and taking solutions from concept through implementation, adoption and benefit realisation. A key part of the role is identifying the right opportunities for AI and automation across the organisation and turning them into scalable solutions that create business value.

Your workplace will be located at our Global Headquarters in Esbjerg, where you will work closely with key stakeholders and business leaders, enabling strong collaboration and helping shape the next phase of our AI and automation agenda.

The position includes leadership responsibility and involves approximately 20 travel days per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As an AI lead, you will be responsible to:

• Develop and execute the AI & Automation strategy as a managed portfolio, with clear priorities, collaboration and business cases aligned with Semco’s digital agenda.
• Drive governance, operating models and use case prioritisation, ensuring AI and automation initiatives deliver measurable business value.
• Lead transformation through end-to-end process and workflow design, applying AI and automation where they create scale, efficiency and impact.
• Act as a trusted advisor for leadership and delivery teams — equally effective in steering forums and in the workshops that turn a process into a solution ready for build
• Build the operating setup for AI and automation, including governance, playbooks, platforms and vendor partnerships.
• Drive adoption through training and enablement — both for solutions delivered to the business and for people to experiment with Copilot, agents and similar tools in their own work.
• Build AI capability across the organisation through training, communities and an ambassador network that drives adoption and responsible use.

Your Profile & qualifications

We are looking for an influential AI leader who combines strategic direction with hands-on execution. You listen, advise and communicate clearly, and you can bring people with you as the organisation adopts new ways of working.

• Relevant educational background within information technology, digital transformation, organisational development, communication, or a related field. 
• At least five years of relevant professional experience working with AI, automation or digital transformation. 
• Strong experience with AI tools, process excellence, and solution design, with the ability to translate emerging AI trends into practical business opportunities. 
• Excellent communication, advisory, and stakeholder management skills. 
• Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
