Senior AI Specialist

Your position

As Senior AI Specialist, you will work hands-on with business stakeholders and delivery teams to identify, assess and implement AI and automation opportunities. You will provide specialist advice and translate business needs into practical solutions aligned with Semco Maritime's digital direction. You will improve end-to-end processes and take use cases from initial assessment and solution design through implementation, adoption and benefit realisation. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help turn promising ideas into scalable solutions with clear business outcomes.

Your workplace will be located at our Global Headquarters in Esbjerg, where you will work closely with key stakeholders and business leaders to support the delivery and adoption of AI and automation solutions. This is a senior specialist position without people management responsibility and involves approximately 20 travel days per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As Senior AI Specialist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Identify and assess AI and automation opportunities with the business, contributing specialist input to use case prioritisation and business cases aligned with Semco’s digital agenda.
• Apply established governance and responsible AI practices to individual initiatives, and work with business stakeholders to define and track measurable benefits.
• Analyse end-to-end processes and workflows, design practical AI and automation solutions, and work with delivery teams to implement and scale them.
• Act as a trusted specialist advisor to business stakeholders and delivery teams, facilitating workshops and translating requirements into solutions ready for build.
• Contribute to practical standards, playbooks and platform evaluations, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams on solution delivery.
• Support adoption through hands-on training and guidance, helping colleagues use delivered solutions and experiment responsibly with Copilot, agents and similar tools.
• Share specialist knowledge through communities and the ambassador network, strengthening AI capability and responsible use across the organisation.

Your Profile & qualifications

We are looking for an experienced AI specialist who combines practical expertise with a strong understanding of business processes. You enjoy hands-on delivery, communicate complex topics clearly and build effective relationships across functions. You influence through expertise and collaboration, helping colleagues adopt new tools and ways of working.

• Relevant educational background within information technology, digital transformation, organisational development, communication, or a related field. 
• At least five years of relevant professional experience working with AI, automation or digital transformation. 
• Strong experience with AI tools, process excellence, and solution design, with the ability to translate emerging AI trends into practical business opportunities. 
• Excellent communication, advisory, and stakeholder management skills. 
• Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
