Senior Discipline Lead, Mechanical Installation & Outfitting

Your position

In your new position as Senior Discipline Lead, Mechanical Installation & Outfitting in our Defence division, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated team supporting Danske Flådeskibe K/S, a strategic consortium building the next generation of vessels for the Royal Danish Navy. You will help define and execute the mechanical installation and outfitting scope from design to final production. Above all, your work will support Denmark’s maritime industrial base and contribute to national security.

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy and maritime industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel as required during project phases.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Senior Discipline Lead, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical installation & outfitting activities throughout all phases of the project.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Defining installation methods and coordinating design input for production
  • Leading the production engineering process for mechanical installation
  • Acting as technical point-of-contact across departments, partners, and suppliers
  • Supporting procurement with technical input and equipment specifications
  • Supporting and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards in all activities

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for a structured and proactive engineer who is passionate about shipbuilding and mechanical outfitting and eager to play a key role in a nationally important defence program. You thrive in a cross-functional team and bring both technical insight and coordination skills.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • A BSc or MSc in mechanical or marine engineering
  • Solid experience from shipbuilding or offshore structural projects
  • Knowledge of classification standards such as DNV or ABS
  • Experience working with technical drawings and 3D models
  • Fluency in English (Danish is an advantage)
