Your Position

Semco Maritime is proud to be part of the consortium Danske Flådeskibe K/S –. With this strategic commitment, Semco Maritime strengthens its position as a key supplier to the Royal Danish Navy and reinforces Denmark’s maritime industrial base. 

 
As our new Strategic Buyer, you will play a central role in driving procurement excellence across these complex, high-profile defence and energy-related projects. You will help shape sourcing strategies, develop strong supplier partnerships, and deliver commercial impact in a dynamic and growing organization. Effective stakeholder management will require a considerable amount of travel.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

As Strategic Buyer, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and strategic partners to support sourcing and supply chain activities across the full value chain – from early project planning to final delivery.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Driving procurement planning and executing sourcing strategies for key categories
• Identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers – ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and reliable delivery
• Supporting commercial negotiations, including contract terms and performance agreements
• Contributing to process improvements across sourcing, logistics, and supplier collaboration
• Participating in cross-functional projects focused on supplier development and performance
• Preparing solid analyses and recommendations to support data-driven decisions
• Acting as a key point of contact for supplier qualification and performance follow-up

What You Bring

You’re structured, proactive, and solution-oriented – and you enjoy working in an environment where collaboration and execution go hand in hand.

We imagine you have:

• A few years of experience in procurement or supply chain – ideally within offshore, maritime, energy, or defence
• A solid grasp of strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management
• Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across functions and seniority levels
• An analytical mindset and a hands-on approach to getting things done
• Fluency in both Danish and English – written and spoken
