Instrument Engineer and Senior Engineer

Your position
The role is in our E&I Engineering team where you will be working on projects and providing engineering support for our customers in the Oil & Gas industry.  This role will provide you with a varied and interesting workload; every day will provide you with a different challenge.  The ability to work offshore is a requirement for this position for the commissioning of systems or maintenance and fault finding.

Location: Your workplace will be at one of Semco's offices in either Denmark - Poland - UK. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel 30-50 per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities 
As an Instrument Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of instrumentation and control systems.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

As Instrument Engineer:

  • Follow up of Instrument Procurement Packages.
  • - Co-ordination with suppliers and review of documents and drawings.
  • - Engineering inputs to job Packages.
  • - As-builts of supplier drawings and red line mark-ups received from offshore.
  • - Report to Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager all matters of importance.
  • - Responsible for Quality and HSSE in own projects.
  • - Ensure identification of changes and input to change requests.
  • - Offshore survey
  • general field instrument engineering, system engineering, automation and control engineering.
  • Fire & Gas systems engineering, layout design, cable dimensioning and calculations, field instrumentation and valves, technical procurement activities related to mechanical packages (as PRD), preparation of MTO`s and requisitions, preparation of installation job-cards.
  • input to other disciplines, coordination and cooperation with suppliers and client.

Tasks as Senior Instrument Enginer 

  • Instrument Engineer in Maintenance, Modification and operations.
  • Participation in study group. 
  • Concept development work and detail engineering. 
  • Specify and prepare documentation, update Time and SAP with new tag and documentation. 
  • Specification and follow up instrument P.O`s. 
  • Prepare layout, termination and loop dwg`s. 
  • Input to jobcards and preparation of MTO`s.

Your profile & qualifications 
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Instrument Engineer who is passionate about engineering innovation and keen to make a significant impact in the energy sector. You have a proactive and organized approach to your work and are eager to drive excellence in instrumentation and control systems.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience from the oil and gas industry. 
  • Good knowledge of offshore EIT installations and requirements. 
  • Good experience in supplier co-ordination and follow-up. 
  • Good experience in as-builts of tags and drawings. 
  • Good communication skills and a team player. 
  • Perform estimation work and plan activities.
