Maternity Cover - Associate Category Manager, Indirect Spend

Your position
As an Associate Category Manager for Indirect Spend you will play a pivotal role in leading category strategies across various sectors including facility management, professional services, travel, and more. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in negotiating and driving cost efficiencies while promoting sustainable practices within the supply chain.

Your workplace will be located at our Global Headquarters in Esbjerg, positioned at the heart of the Danish energy industry with stunning waterfront views. This is a full-time, temporary maternity cover for a minimum duration of 12 months.
Your tasks & responsibilities
As an Associate Category Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing comprehensive category strategies for indirect spend areas such as facility management, professional services, and travel. We are in the early stages of engaging with internal stakeholders, so you will have the opportunity to drive this in the direction you see fit.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business goals and understand their needs.
- Supplier Management: Conduct thorough market analysis, evaluate potential suppliers, and manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance.
- Process Oversight: Ensure adherence to the procurement-to-pay process for all relevant spend categories.
Your Profile & qualifications
We are looking for an outgoing and positive individual who is passionate about indirect spend and wants to leave their personal mark on it. You have a proactive and organised approach to your work and are eager to enhance your skills within the department.
- Minimum experience of 2 years in Strategic Procurement or a related commercial field, experience in indirect spend is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, capable of interacting effectively across diverse cultures and functions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Positive, proactive, and a team player with the autonomy to operate independently.
- Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
