Senior Mechanical Engineer for Offshore Substations

Your position
At Semco Maritime, you'll become a key member of our experienced and highly skilled team in the Renewables Division, where we manage one of the world’s largest portfolios of offshore substation projects. This position is based at our head office in Esbjerg or our office in Nordhavn, the centre of Copenhagen.
Your tasks & responsibilities
As our new Mechanical Engineer, you will primary be involved in greenfield EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) contracts for offshore substation projects. This means that you will be working with everything related to the projects, all the way from being responsible for cost, hours, and quality for the mechanical systems within a project, to supporting the site during construction and commissioning.
An important part of this position also includes aligning with external and internal stakeholders when creating proposals, technical solutions and carrying out project documentation.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, documenting, and coordinating the procurement of mechanical solutions in collaboration with our procurement team.
- Coordinating and resolving issues with customers, suppliers, and project teams across various disciplines.
- Facilitating and participating in client workshops and meetings to ensure alignment of scope and technical solutions with contract requirements.
- Clarifying client needs during both tender and project phases.
- Ensuring the successful execution and sign-off of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) in alignment with the project timeline.
- Contributing to concept development and optimizing technical solutions.
Your profile
While your title will be "Senior Mechanical Engineer," you will work across multi-disciplinary systems such as diesel generator and diesel fuel systems. A comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control disciplines within these systems is crucial. You believe that success is driven by strong teamwork and collaboration.
To succeed in this position, we expect that you:
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering or similar
- Have EPC project execution skills
- Have preferably experience with diesel generator systems
- Preferably have worked in the offshore field
