Professionals are responsible for identifying, analysing, and relating business demands. Your responsibilities include aligning priorities, planning and actions to the overall business objectives. And involve business stakeholders. You will share and communicate knowledge and innovation. You have knowledge of the fundamentals of the Semco business model and the value chain.

Assist the Project Manager in smooth running and implementation of the project

Main tasks/areas of responsibility:
• Design of telecommunication system (Radio Communication System, Security System, Navigation Aids, Wired Communication)
• Preparation of drawings
• Preparation of specifications for procurement of equipment
• Develop detailed system design with diagrams and schematics.
• Selection of telecom equipment
• Develop bulk material listings
• Provide input for preparation of selected reports, weight, equipment list,
function and fabrication / installation
• Coordination with other disciplines
• Professional responsibility

Main principal duties:
• Participate in all engineering phases:
• Feasibility
• Concept
• Feed
• Detailed
• Understand and interpret requirements from customers and authorities.
• Clarify design certification with customers and 3rd party.

Minor tasks/areas of responsibility:
• Participation in customer visits and –contact
• Participation in technical project meetings

System Knowledge (Must have experience in at lease one of the following categories):
1. Radio Communication Systems: GMDSS, Microwave Radio, SCADA Radio, Trunked Radio, Crane Radio, Radio Dispatch, Satellite Phone

2. Security Systems: Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, PABX (VoIP), Person On Board (POB)

3. Navigation Aids: Radar, ECDIS, Auto Pilot, AIS, DGPS, LRIT, Compass, Echo Sounder, Speed Log, VDR, Navigation & Obstruction Lights, RACON, Fog Horn, BNWAS, VSAT, Entertainment System, EMS

4. Wired Communication: PAGA, Page Party, Talk Back, Smart Series, Driller, PABX (Analog), Sound-Powered Phone System
 

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and experience:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or IT is required

Personal Qualities:

Prefer experience in relevant industry such as oil & gas, marine, shipyard, petrochemical, power plant is a MUST

Able to lead a team of telecom engineer/junior telecom engineer to meet various project schedule, customer expectation

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken English).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
